Astron Energy, one of South Africa’s leading suppliers of petroleum products, has reached another milestone with the unveiling of its 500th rebranded service station at Astron Energy Oaklands in Johannesburg. This brings the company closer to its goal of rebranding more than 800 sites nationwide.
“Reaching 500 rebranded sites is an extraordinary achievement for our team,” said John Bailey, Acting General Manager for Retail, Sales and Marketing at Astron Energy. “It reflects our commitment to transforming the customer experience and offering modern, welcoming service stations that meet the evolving needs of South Africans.”
Located along a high-traffic route, the Oaklands site provides a convenient stop for motorists and contributes to the expansion of Astron Energy’s growing national footprint. The site exemplifies the brand’s goal of positioning service stations where they are most accessible.
The impact of Astron Energy’s rebrand extends beyond its forecourts. To date, over 450 people have been employed to support the rebrand rollout. Through its Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD) initiative, Astron Energy has also empowered over 30 local installation teams, providing training, resources, and mentorship to support the growth of small and medium-sized businesses.
Fayyaz Moosa, Retailer at Astron Energy Oaklands, said: “It’s an honour to be part of this major milestone and to be selected as the 500th site. The new branding gives our station a vibrant, professional look and reinforces our ongoing commitment to delivering excellent service to our customers.”
With 500 sites now proudly bearing the Astron Energy brand, the company is accelerating toward its next milestone of 600 rebranded service stations, keeping up strong momentum on its journey to becoming South Africa’s next biggest fuel brand
